The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior has announced the extension of all types of entry visas that have expired or are about to expire during the current period for one month, effective Saturday, February 28, 2026. In its statement today, the ministry said the extension will be processed automatically through the automated system without the need to review residency affairs administrations. Full exemption from the prescribed fees and penalties incurred during this period is granted in appreciation of the current exceptional circumstances. The ministry also clarified that residents abroad who have exceeded the permitted absence period and are unable to return to the State of Kuwait will be automatically granted a three-month absence permit through the automated system without the need for review, with exemption from prescribed fees. The ministry confirmed that the mentioned extensions are subject to extension according to developments in the country, calling on everyone to follow the ministry's official channels to learn of any updates regarding this matter, praying to God to preserve Kuwait and its people and all who reside on its land from all harm.
