International organizations continue to discuss the situation regarding human rights in various countries of the world. This time, the press secretary of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights Tamin al-Hititan took the floor. He noted that "reports continue to highlight serious human rights violations in many countries."
In part, al-Hititan stated: "We have been provided with information on the use of the death penalty without due process of law in a number of countries. This constitutes a gross violation of international law." These statements were made after cases of the imposition of the death penalty without proper judicial proceedings were recorded in various countries.
It was also emphasized that authorities must strictly adhere to international norms and standards of human rights. Only adequate and fair measures in the field of justice can contribute to the creation of a just society.
