The official spokesperson for Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, Engineer Fatima Jawhar Al-Hayat, announced that 6 high-voltage power transmission lines across several locations in the country have gone out of service. This was caused by debris falling from the interception of several drones, leading to a temporary fluctuation in the power grid and partial, limited power outages in various areas. She explained that specialized emergency teams, in coordination with security authorities, have begun assessing the damage and carrying out necessary repair work. Electricity supply to the affected areas was restored at record speed, in accordance with the highest safety standards and approved technical procedures. Al-Hayat confirmed that the electricity and water situation remains under control, with the systems for electricity generation, water desalination, and their transmission operating with high efficiency. Continuous 24-hour monitoring is ongoing to ensure the stability and continuity of services without interruption. She urged citizens and residents to be precise and obtain information only from official sources, affirming the ministry's commitment to promptly informing the public of any updates.
