Kuwait Allows Mosque Prayers to Resume

Kuwaiti authorities have restored permission for Taraweeh and Qiyam prayers in all mosques, with specific time limits to ensure public safety.

Kuwait Allows Mosque Prayers to Resume

The relevant authorities in Kuwait have issued a circular to imams of mosques across the country, permitting the performance of Taraweeh and Qiyam prayers in all mosques starting tonight, while specifying the duration of the prayers. This is part of an effort to ensure the safety of worshippers under the current conditions in the country. The Taraweeh prayer is not to exceed 20 minutes after the Isha prayer, and the Qiyam prayer will last for 30 minutes, from 12:00 AM to 12:30 AM. This decision comes after Kuwait's Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs had previously suspended Taraweeh prayers in mosques following Iranian rocket attacks on the country.
