The Ministry of Education in Kuwait announced on Monday the postponement of short exams for students until further notice, taking into account the current situation and providing more flexibility to schools, students, and teachers at this stage. This came in a press release from the Ministry, during which Minister of Education Syed Jalal Tabatabaie chaired an expanded meeting with educational leadership to review the latest developments regarding the progress of the educational process while continuing to implement distance learning through the 'Teams' platform and to monitor the readiness of various sectors to ensure the continuity of studies efficiently. The Ministry stated in its statement that the situation will be reviewed again according to developments in the coming period and necessary decisions will be taken to achieve the students' best interests and maintain the stability of the educational process. During the meeting, Minister Tabatabaie listened to a detailed explanation of the mechanism of distance learning, the level of interaction in virtual classes, the attendance rates of students and teachers via the educational platform, in addition to the challenges that some schools may face and the mechanisms to deal with them to ensure the continuity of the educational process without interruption. The meeting also emphasized the importance of students' and teachers' commitment to attend and interact in classes via the 'Teams' platform and the necessity of continued follow-up by school administrations to ensure achieving the required educational benefit during the distance learning period. Minister Tabatabaai appreciated the important role of parents in supporting their children during the application of distance learning system, calling for continued cooperation between family and school to contribute to enhancing students' discipline and following up their studies and achieving the best educational results.
