Former football player Fahad Al-Majmud died at the age of 33 while on duty as an officer in the General Administration of Land Border Security in Kuwait. This occurred as a result of blatant Iranian attacks targeting the territories of Gulf countries, according to the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior. Al-Majmud began his football career with Al-Qadsia, later moving to Al-Khaitan, and then to Al-Salmiya, where he shone starting from 2019. He was one of the key players and wore the captain's armband for several seasons. Al-Majmud ended his playing career a few months ago, announcing his retirement in a match between Al-Salmiya and Al-Arabi. He then continued his service in the military with the rank of Major until his death while on duty. Sadness has gripped both sports and military circles in Kuwait following the news of his death. His colleagues and fans of both clubs recalled his career, during which he combined playing for clubs with serving his country.
