Today, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) announced that a decree by the Emir regarding cabinet reshuffles concerning the ministers of education and oil has been issued.
According to the new decree, Minister of Education Sultan Al-Harbi has been replaced by Bdor Al-Ayyai, who previously held the position of Deputy Minister of Education for General Education. She becomes the first woman minister of education in Kuwait's history.
At the same time, Muhammed Al-Fahri has been appointed as the Minister of Oil, while the previous minister, Mohammed Abdulatif Al-Fares, who held this position since 2019, has been relieved of his duties. The cabinet changes were made after the ministerial council expressed dissatisfaction with the decisions and actions of the ministers.
After the issuance of the Emir's decree, the new Minister of Education Bdor Al-Ayyai remarked: "I feel a deep gratitude and responsibility for the trust placed in me."
