The Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Qabas has published the names of 2,182 people whose Kuwaiti citizenship was revoked through three decrees. The first decree revoked citizenship from one person and those who acquired it through affiliation with him. The second decree revoked citizenship from 1,104 people and their affiliated members. The third decree revoked citizenship from 1,076 people and their affiliated members. Kuwaiti media reported that the decision was made in accordance with the laws regulating Kuwaiti citizenship, as part of measures taken by the competent authorities to verify naturalization files and review cases that do not meet legal requirements.
