Kuwait reported on Friday a coordinated attack with drones and cruise missiles against the port of Mubarak Al-Kabeer, the second port attack in the country on the same day. In a statement published on the social media platform X, the Ministry of Public Works indicated that preliminary assessments point to the attack causing material damage to port facilities, with no fatalities. Authorities have activated emergency measures and are assessing the damage to ensure the continuity of operations, the statement added. The ministry did not provide further details about the origin of the attack or the specific facilities affected, reported Xinhua, to which the Argentine News Agency is subscribed. The incidents occurred amid escalating tensions following the joint attacks by the United States and Israel against Iran that began last month. Since then, Iran has launched missile and drone attacks against Israeli and US targets across the Middle East.
